Hilarity Ensues

As I was methodically organizing some of the Mathew Brady-inspired (nerd alert) Renegade LA and SF snapshots, I decided to take a quick breather and click on Tosh.0 (that zany newish Comedy Central show). Of course the deal with Daniel's thirty minute chunk of time is that he finds tragically divine clips of brilliance usually on youtube and thus I thought it was only proper if I too took a gander. I apologize for a few things right off the bat: 1.) it's over two years old 2.) the sound is whack, and 3.) there's footage from 1974. What I won't apologize for is that it's absolutely hilarious and left me crying (even after the third go-around). By the by, my absolute favorites are at 2:58, 3:25 and 4:01 (so..stinking...perfect). Enjoy!!!

Anyone happen to notice in the beginning that the preview was 'approved for all fans and to-be-fans of bleach'?!?! (what isn't these days)

Just Beachy

Posted on July 08, 2009 | 0 comments

Prior to our west coast endeavors, we paid a stealthy visit to the granular grounds of North Myrtle Beach. Hella humid with murky, disgruntled looking clouds throughout, we were eventually graced with the melodic, cigarette-smelling sensations of a high-school-reunion band. Maybe it's just me, but there's nothing more entertaining than watching a 40-something with strategically heaving bosoms bust-a-move with two plus glasses of fine travelers-esque wine in her system (can someone say 'Elaine dance'). This is all I could accomplish for the rest of the day in my resulting stupor~

If only I could Play the Ukulele

Posted on June 25, 2009 | 0 comments

This might be the best mustache-themed wood inlay Ukulele I've ever seen. This one-of-a-kind piece is designed by Xylocopa and features 25 fantastic staches. The head of the Ukulele reads:

"There are three kinds of men you must never trust;

a man who hunts south of the Thames,

a man who has soup for lunch,

and a man that waxes his moustahce."

-Sir James Richards

New York Post Anyone?!

Posted on June 14, 2009 | 0 comments

While doing our thang in Brooklyn at the Renegade Craft Fair, we were approached by a lovely woman who turned out to be quite a big fish (minus the gills and scales). Long story short, we were extremely fortunate to get some press in a little publication perhaps you're familiar with (cough, cough) the New York Post. This will probably be one of those cheesy occasions where we frame and hang the article or at least magnet it on the fridge. Take a looksee for yourself though and thanks again to Sara Lieberman and the NY Post staff (insert permasmile)...

Success In the South

As expected, we had a delectable time in Atlanta at our first Indie Craft Experience . We debuted some new products, munched on a buttload of Cheez-its, canoodled with some old (Eric-a-la-Linty Fresh ) and new (Jon Wye ) faces, as well as snapped some rockin' pictures with our latest and greatest monster prop (and soon to be new product). Take a peek at what you may have missed during the festivities and thanks again to the ICE staff and members of security who were brilliant all around!!!

Mustaches By the Millions

Posted on May 22, 2009 | 0 comments

As promised, we stuck to our guns and unleashed our sewing prowess on many yards of unsuspecting fabric. With Indie Craft Experience (ICE) and Renegade NYC right around the corner, we decided to get fuzzilicious in order to test the potential plush market with specific colors, styles, shapes and sizes. Although such items typically attract people of the female persuasion, we're hopeful the male-folk will somehow implement these whimsical and divine creatures as well. Check back around mid June to see which ones made the cut (dun dun dunnnn)...

Stop staring at me 'stache...(yes, that was a lame attempt at a Billy Madison reference)

A Sunday Breather

After a long work week, including some Saturday struggles, a few of us decided to catch the Railhawks' game (Raleigh's local pro soccer team). The mercury was really boiling as the temperature reached into the 90's, but that didn't stop us from enjoying an intense match on the pitch.

Too Plush or Not Too Plush

Posted on May 09, 2009 | 0 comments

So about three or so months ago, I came across a little stuffed toy that really sparked my interest, enough to frolic to the local Michaels and scoop up some cheap fabric, a needle and some thread. To start the creative process, I grabbed a scrap piece of cardboard and sketched a random mustache. I then snipped out the template and traced it onto the mentioned fabric. Finally, I cut the fabric to shape and then went to town hand-sewing the two sides together. After about 15-20 minutes, the stitching was complete and I proceeded to stuff the little bugger, as well as add some details for the eyes. The initial prototype was complete and besides a few loose stitches, the first of the Fuzzies was born...

...stay tuned for the sensational metamorphosis ;)
