With a bunch of new stuff coming out next week, we figured we'd provide a quick glance for classical hype purposes =). See if you can figure out what's in store and we'll give you a cookie; not the thin mints though, those are mine.

New Sugar-free Goodies

Posted on September 26, 2009 | 0 comments

A few weekends ago, 100,000 or so Chicagonites / Chicagoneers / Chicagonians lucked out and had the chance to purchase two yummy new threads from two delectable artists. If you were too lazy to put down the clicker and drive through 12-14 states (depending on your geographic location), then today just happens to be your lucky day bub(s). Straight from the glorious minds of two Threadless veterans, we are perma-smiled to release Handlebar Hold Up and Sleight of Hare.

Handlebar Hold up, as seen above, was the stellar brainchild of Alvaro Arteaga, a Spanish Chilean with a unique style incorporating a keen sense of wit and boyish charm. Better known as Alvarejo, this cool cat was a breeze to work with and I recommend grazing his portfolio for additional spoonfuls of heaven.

Additionally, Sleight of Hare, as seen above, was inked and colored by the exuberant Alex Solis, a zestfully delightful feller with uncanny b-boy (break-dance) skillage and jaw-droppingly sick artistic details. Fortunately for us, while rocking Renegade in Chi-town, we were able to hang with Alex @ the Threadless meet-up partay and boogy down to some karaoke tunes. Much like Alvaro above, Mr. Solis was a doll to work with; a portfolio peek is absolutely recommended, but brain melting will occur so I would double check your insurance coverage first.

Mustaches By the Millions

Posted on May 22, 2009 | 0 comments

As promised, we stuck to our guns and unleashed our sewing prowess on many yards of unsuspecting fabric. With Indie Craft Experience (ICE) and Renegade NYC right around the corner, we decided to get fuzzilicious in order to test the potential plush market with specific colors, styles, shapes and sizes. Although such items typically attract people of the female persuasion, we're hopeful the male-folk will somehow implement these whimsical and divine creatures as well. Check back around mid June to see which ones made the cut (dun dun dunnnn)...

Stop staring at me 'stache...(yes, that was a lame attempt at a Billy Madison reference)

Too Plush or Not Too Plush

So about three or so months ago, I came across a little stuffed toy that really sparked my interest, enough to frolic to the local Michaels and scoop up some cheap fabric, a needle and some thread. To start the creative process, I grabbed a scrap piece of cardboard and sketched a random mustache. I then snipped out the template and traced it onto the mentioned fabric. Finally, I cut the fabric to shape and then went to town hand-sewing the two sides together. After about 15-20 minutes, the stitching was complete and I proceeded to stuff the little bugger, as well as add some details for the eyes. The initial prototype was complete and besides a few loose stitches, the first of the Fuzzies was born...

...stay tuned for the sensational metamorphosis ;)

Let's All Go to the Lobby...

So after much tribulation we're proud to present the official Filmblazer a.k.a. Two-Week Turnaround Tour a.k.a. Battle Wagon a.k.a. Carnies on the Silver Screen (wait, what?! =) shirt to the masses Lights Camera Traction. This sexy beast is dual-sided, showcasing some of the potential scenes on the chest, as well as illustrating the filming locations (and some creative personalities) on the back. Ye olde epidermis blocker comes on gold for the gents and the lovely coral for the ladies.

By the by, if you're asking yourself 'what's the deal with this shirt?!', stop sticking your nose into our business buddy (snicker). I jest, we actually met up with the legendary Joshua Mills at a Twitter event (uh yeah, they really do exist) and we decided to help each other out. Let me also add that I'm totally envious of the seven month, x-country, movie excursion that he (and his evil cohort =) is embarking on. Keep living the dream and remember to occasionally check the air pressure in your tires (to increase fuel efficiency of course).

This just in...the Fuzzy Ink amigos will be gunning for the sunny sights of Hotlanta (Atlanta) as we were just accepted to The Indie Craft Experience (ICE), a super fly outdoor event showcasing some neato new products and (I can only assume) cool arse peeps. It's a weekend extravaganza, so grab your sleeping bag, Snuggie (or Slanket) and a decent flashlight (for the ghost stories, duh) and spend some quality time with us. Invisible doors open at 11am both days...and slam shut at 7pm sharp. Should be a dilly of a time...

...Be on the lookout for our partner in crime Eric Terry as well, who will be boosting his crazy cool Linty Fresh gear
